The city of Lone Tree is located at the I-25 and E-470 intersection South of Denver. The city covers just less than 10 square miles and has a population of nearly 10,500 people. The City of Lone Tree was incorporated in November 1995 and has seen great additions since. In 2000, a 3,500 acre community named Ridge Gate was annexed in order to work with the landowner in shaping the master plan for the property. As a result, Lone Tree received land for a new recreation center.
